Often, the motive of people coming to Jesus is to get help for their lives. They never go through the process of seeing their sin and the ultimate need for a savior. “God has a wonderful plan for your life” is often said to many people. The problem with this is that it creates false converts. This false gospel makes people not put their complete trust in Jesus but instead try him out like an ice cream flavor. The Bible talks about the road being narrow and hard to walk for those who follow Christ. The Bible promises trials and persecution for Christians who desire to obey God. Following Jesus Christ isn’t easy, especially if you want to blend in with the world; that is why many false converts will give up on their “faith.” Thankfully, God has given us a way of escape from temptation that we may endure. We come to Christ not to clean our lives up but to lay our lives down. Watch as Ray shares with these guys to lay their lives down.
